January assessment LR

www- This is a solid assessment with clear potential to go higher .you've attempted every question and with a few improvement to exam technique and revision should make good progress .

EBI -Revise key terminology
-in the 20-mark essay ,you need to construct an argument.I think you've slightly mis-read the question so this is certainly an area to practice .also, revise the film csps

LR- see blog
1) Type up your feedback in full (you don't need to write the mark and grade if you want to keep this confidential).

2) Read the mark scheme for this assessment carefully. Write down the mark you achieved for each question:

Q1: 0

Q2: 0
Q3:3
Q4: 1
Q5:2
Q6:6

Where you didn't achieve full marks, write WHY you think you missed out on the extra marks. Use the indicative content suggestions in the mark scheme to help with this.

Q6
3) Did you get any media terminology wrong in the assessment? Make a note of it here for future revision:

Vertical Integration - It is when one conglomerate owns different companies in the same change of production

4) Look specifically at question 3 - did you successfully write about both the preferred and oppositional readings? Did your answers match any in the mark scheme?

For the preferred reading I wrote that the poster suggested that women are strong.
For the oppositional reading I wrote that women shouldn't be working and are powerless.

5) Now look at question 4. Write a definition of vertical integration to revise this key industry terminology.

Vertical Integration - It is when one conglomerate owns different companies in the same change of production

6) Finally, look at your 20-mark essay - question 6. Write a four-paragraph essay plan for this question, using the suggested answers in the mark scheme to help you. Use this format:Paragraph 1: Independent films such as I, Daniel Blake aren't as big and well known as Hollywood                          blockbusters.

Paragraph 2:   Hollywood blockbusters spend and make lots of money so they can afford to get big                             movie stars who are well known whereas independent films don't have that much                                 budget to pay big actors.

Paragraph 3: I, Daniel Blake doesn't have a big budget to spend on CGI, green screen and action so                          less people would want to see it. But doctor strange has a big budget to spend on these                          things and they appeal to a wider range of audiences.

Paragraph 4: Doctor strange have an advantage as they already have a wider range of audience as                            Doctor strange is part of the marvel series so they will have more of an audience to                              watch their films, so their box offices will be making millions. But I, Daniel Blake don't   have that big  of an audience less people will go to see that film.
